The SongHouse - building a lyric from the ground up
This document contains everything I've learned from my 20 plus years experience which included being personally mentored by Ray Davies (The Kinks), and Dominic King (Stardust - Music sounds better with you). I was also a member of the London based Platinum Songwriters Academy where I built my confidence further as a collaborator.
I have provided music tracks for advertising projects, ghost-written for several European producers and US clients, and was even shortlisted for a London based musical theatre project!
I now work with unsigned artists locally and internationally collaborating with them on their songwriting projects.
How to find titles, develop song structures, expand each section so you clearly know what to write in each. When to use a Pre-Chorus or a Bridge. How to make the story move logically, add emotion and move the listener.
